The primary goal of our Spitex is to empower individuals aged 18 and above, residing in the area, and facing illness, injury, disability, maternity, old age, psychological distress, or socio-family difficulties to remain at home. We provide them with necessary and personalized consultancy, care, and assistance services.

  • Our staff is qualified and carefully selected based on the individual care needs of the assisted users. We offer needs assessment, advice, and instructions, basic care, nursing care, and household management.
  • Our services, under medical prescription, are fully recognized and covered by basic health insurance (LaMal).
  • Our services, upon medical prescription, are fully recognized and paid for by the basic health insurance (LaMal).

We operate throughout the Sottoceneri region.

Examinations and Treatments:
Weekly therapy preparation, administration of therapies orally, subcutaneously, intramuscularly, intravenously, dressing of ulcers and wounds, and more.
Basic Care:
Assistance with personal care: complete hygiene in the shower and/or bath, dressing, elastic stockings, compressive bandages, assistance with mobilization, and more.

Assessment visit, data collection, and care plan.

After the initial contact, a nurse conducts a home visit to assess the patient's needs. The tool we use to analyze, explore, and highlight the needs, limits, and resources of patients and their surroundings is the interRAI-HC. This tool enables a scientifically validated and internationally recognized multidimensional assessment.
Position A encompasses all health advisory services and patient instructions, initial needs assessments, periodic reassessments, consultations with the attending physician, resource coordination and activation, specific consultations for patients and/or family members.

Therapies and Care Plans

After the initial contact, the home visit, and the assessment through interRAI-HC, the nursing care plan is developed, and assistance services are defined. This tariff position includes medical-technical procedures that operators (distinguished by their professional qualifications) perform directly at the patient's home. These can involve diagnostic/tests (venous sampling, Quick.), monitoring (blood pressure, glucose levels, weight, heart rate.), or care (dressings, weekly dose preparation.).

Personal care assistance.

Plan C consists of services that are primarily focused on assistance and personal care. It includes all activities known as BADL (basic activities of daily living), which encompass assistance with daily hygiene, dressing, mobilization, prevention of pressure injuries, and compressive bandaging.

  • Personal hygiene (complete or partial, shower and/or bath)
  • Prevention of pressure ulcers
  • Antithrombotic prophylaxis

Our Story

Ti Medicare is a private home care and assistance service that was established in 2021 at the initiative of Antonio Sampaio. It was inspired by the strength and resilience of his brother, Giuseppe, who always faced life with a smile despite his disability.

Direct knowledge of the difficulties and needs faced daily, not only by those in need but also by those around them, led to the desire to create a service in the field of nursing care and healthcare.
